Vacuum table
Here James is lining up some films for new ribbons on the vacuum unit. Then he’ll lay the silkscreen carefully on top of the films, close the lid of the unit and engage the vacuum function to hold the films firmly in place while the UV exposure unit does it’s thing.
From start to finish, we keep all our processes right here in our shed in Springwood which is why we have full custom capabilities as well as short leadtimes

Testing testing
This is squeegee rubber. When our squeegees get a bit blunt they stop working well so we need to replace them. The darker green is our standard stuff and the one with the white core is having a trial run because we think it might last longer. Lasting longer = less waste and that’s something we strive for everyday 🙌

Reclaiming screens.
We’ve had a big month here at the shed so there are quite a few screens that need reclaiming so we can get onto new orders.
It’s such a satisfying process watching the emulsion disappear under the pressure hose. 🤓🌊✨

Doing it for the exposure.
This is our vacuum exposure unit and UV light doing their job. I really like this stage of the process, it’s a bit like magic! Well, a bit of chemistry anyway 😊 The light burns the artwork into the emulsion, creating the screen we then use to print.
